Verify a Call

Confirming the legitimacy of our research calls

Why you may have received a call

If you recently reported a crime or incident to the police, you may have been selected to take part in an independent survey about your experience.

We conduct research and victim satisfaction surveys on behalf of Police and Crime Commissioners and policing bodies to understand how victims experience police services and support.

Your feedback is valuable in helping to improve services for victims of crime.

Participation is completely voluntary

You can choose whether or not to take part in the survey

You can stop the survey at any time

You can skip any questions you do not wish to answer

Your responses will not affect any police investigation or support you receive.

A close-up of a secure, locked metal filing cabinet drawer partially open, revealing rows of plain manila folders labeled with neutral, non-identifying codes and dates, representing anonymised victim survey records. Each tab is neatly printed, and a small sticker reading “independent charity – confidential” appears on the front of one folder. The cabinet is set against a muted, softly textured wall in a professional office. Gentle, cool-toned overhead lighting creates soft reflections on the brushed metal surface and subtle shadows between the folders. Shot at a low, side angle with a shallow depth of field, the foreground folder is in crisp focus while the others blur into the background. The photographic realism emphasizes security, discretion, and careful handling of sensitive information.

The survey is independent

Our organisation operates independently from the police and other organisations. This means you can provide honest feedback about your experience without concern.

All responses are confidential and reported anonymously.

What we will never ask for

To protect your security, Victim Experience will never ask you for:

  • Bank account details or sort codes
  • Payment card information
  • Passwords or PIN numbers
  • National Insurance numbers
  • Any form of payment
